Cheyanne & Sean booked me to capture their Olympic National Park Elopement on the dreamiest vintage format: film. They opted to book me as their Washington Super8 Elopement Videographer. So, they were the first couple to experience the Sabrina Fitz Photo & Film “Ultimate Analog” Elopement package!
What do I mean by “ultimate analog”? I’m SO HAPPY YOU ASKED! I captured this elopement entirely on film. I had multiple cameras strapped to my body all day and shot their wedding on 3 different analog formats: super8, 35mm film, and polaroids. The super8 elopement video is the pinnacle of a dreamy wedding film.
So, on September 18, 2024 Cheyanne and Sean spent their first day of forever in Olympic National Park. After an early morning tide-pooling session on the Washington Coast, they spent the morning getting ready in a dreamy riverside rental home with panoramic windows and a deck. The sound of the river underscored hair, makeup, and details captured on 35mm film and Super8 video.
Cheyanne collected the most amazing details for her day that I loved incorporating into her Super8 Elopement film. She found vintage stamps, leather-bound vow books, and a gorgeous cake crafted by Florida Peach Sweets.
After getting ready for the day, our adventure began at Lake Crescent. This iconic Olympic NP location was the BEST way to begin and left me feeling so excited! I love that you can experience the gorgeous lake and a little forest vibe as well.
Then, of course we had to go chasing waterfalls! I know TLC advised against it but I have to say I disagree. So, my vote is to ALWAYS chase waterfalls.
After waterfall pics, we stopped by the Olympic National Park visitor center in Port Angeles, Washington. There, Cheyanne and Sean were able to get their National Park Passports stamped. Next, we’re off to our golden hour destination to my favorite Washington secret spot!
We hiked above the clouds and we were in heaven. But you don’t have to trust me, just see for yourself!
Cheyanne and Sean read letters from loved ones. Then, they had a private ceremony in the sky and exchanged vows. With a hand fasting and a kiss, they were husband and wife!
This was one of those elopements and couples that will stick with me for a lifetime. I cannot WAIT to create my next Super8 Elopement film and 35mm film analog photo gallery. Learn more about booking Sabrina as your Super8 Elopement videographer by visiting this page!
Oh, and the lead photographer for this elopement was Venturing Vows and she handled all the planning and majority of client communications. Miki (the owner) and I have a special joint package where we offer Photo and Video for elopements in the Pacific Northwest.
