Santa Barbara Wedding Photo & Video: A Dream Destination

When Ali and Andrew reached out to me looking for a Santa Barbara Wedding Photo and Video vendor, I was SO excited to finally visit this dream city in Southern California! So of course I said yes and purchased flights for my trusted associate and I to fly into California for their June wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and reception at Villa and Vine (coffee shop by day, event venue by night!)

It wouldn’t be ME if I didn’t start a wedding photo and video post with the full wedding film. I just think it’s the perfect way to really give you the full re-cap of this magical day in sunny so-cal.

Santa Barbara: Where Your Wedding Dreams (and Post-Wedding Hangover) Come True

Santa Barbara is an amazing destination wedding location. It’s warm, sunny, and filled with amazing things to do and eat. It’s truly a foodie’s dream. I only wish that I had more time to explore while I was there. There are countless amazing bars, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy (and possibly incorporate into your wedding or elopement!)

Ali and Andrew got married at the majestic courthouse – which is hands-down a TOP NOTCH ceremony spot. (Just be prepared for there to be MANY other couples eloping or having weddings at the same time or nearly so. Plus lots of other photographers doing sessions for weddings, couples, birthdays, graduations and more.) This is all to say – the courthouse is gorgeous but definitely not private. So, to have the best of both worlds, I recommend booking a nearby reception venue to have a more private post-ceremony celebrating. Because, let’s be honest, so much magic happens after the “I do’s.”

Post-Wedding Bliss: A Santa Barbara Affair

• Foodie Paradise: Santa Barbara is a culinary wonderland. From fresh seafood at The Harbor to farm-to-table delights at Bouchon, your taste buds will thank you. And let’s not forget the wineries! Sip on award-winning Pinot Noir while soaking in the California sunshine.
• Walkable Wonder: Forget the stress of coordinating transportation. Santa Barbara is incredibly walkable. Explore the charming State Street, browse through art galleries, and stumble upon hidden gems around every corner.
• A Touch of Hollywood: Now for the pièce de résistance: the State Street marquee. Yes, you read that right. You can actually get your names and wedding date displayed on the iconic marquee. Talk about a showstopping announcement! Imagine strolling down the street with your new spouse, hand-in-hand, and seeing your names shining bright for the whole world to see.
